Little Sand

5 cm of new snow which was redistributed around by moderate winds this morning and afternoon. Temp was below zero in the subalpine.
HS at 2000 m was 225 cm. Did a compression test and got a planar result on H1 at 30 cm and 50 cm. The failure at 50 cm was an old crust layer. Crusts from recent warming/precip seemed to percolate down about 20 cm. 95 cm above the ground there is a very thick ice layer which I initially thought was ground when probing.
Some avalanches noted on the access road up.
