We’re so back

15-20cm of unconsolidated snow on top of thick crust makes for shit walking but okay skiing. Thin sun crust and large hoar crystals forming on south facing slopes at all elevations (see photo). Dug a very amateur snow pit on 35 degree southeast facing slope in open trees @2000m, no reactivity from crust in ECT. 60cm depth at 2000m, lots of rocks lower down. Nice conditions for November, lovely to be out in the snow again!
