Quick Observation
Late report: great day on Saturday above the morning valley fog with blue skis, moderate winds and cold temps. Sled skied the majority of the basin but avoided ridge features that had been and were being actively loading from the variable wind directions. Breakable crust / wind pressured surfaces with 15-20cm facets below in the alpine. Cornices along the seaton ridge are very large, noticed multiple size 1 from small cornice failures. (northerly aspects). Saw roughly size 3 avalanche in Q ball area, crown about 400m and ran 1.2 km, likely from Thursday or Friday. Debris ran full path likely due to the crust layer.
