Nuclear today in the Paradise Meadows region. Started off the morning snowing S1 with precipitation increasing through the day to S2-3 around 2pm. Was nice to see some snow!
New snow was settling quickly into a storm slab lower down where the temperatures were warmer, with less consolidated/low density snow noted at and above 1250m. Where there were slab properties it did seem to bond well to the rain crust underneath, ski cutting small convex rolls provided no results.
Winds out of the southwest were gusting strong, we stuck to sheltered terrain on the classic Brooks lines. Can imagine some significant loading in more exposed areas in the park.
No avalanche obs, visibility was quite limited with the welcomed new snow.
Overall a great day out, good turns up top, and our new pups first tour!
