Wind slab slide at Bow Hut

An update on our trip to Bow Hut. We experienced a small slide on our ski out from Bow Hut. The normal ski out route didn’t seem like a good option due to exposed rocks and poor snow coverage. This lead our group to select a line to the skier left which lead us to the top of a bench above the lower creek. We had a couple of steep chutes to select and felt we had selected the one that was the most manageable. A skier in our group had hit a large boulder entering the run and exposed the rock. This created the start of the fracture point and the slope slid when the next skier started his run. It had about a 30 cm crown and slid about 10m. No one was injured or buried, but was an obvious sign to be aware of conditions at all times. All of us were aware that we were fortunate and could have managed the situation better.
