Day started out great. 10-15cm of new snow overnight with signs of strong wind affect leaving great pockets of windloaded goodness. Primarly from the NW but swirling winds in alp and tl seemed widespread. 3 small 1-1.5 cornices breaks releasing small windslabs below likley during last nignts wind event. Nice calm morning and them the northerly winds hit! holly hell did they come in strong in the alpine between 1300-1500hrs snowing 2cm/hr at times. Strong to extreme winds and intense ridgetop transport slabbing all lee aspects and open areas. 185cms avg HS 190118 pwl seems non reactive for now after pushing into some bigger alpine features.
