We headed up about 2/3 of Grand Daddy. Approached via the sluff / avy debris in the fan and then booted up. Ski crampons may be helpful. Most of the good snow was stripped from a larger sluff or smaller avy that seemed to initial from a cornice fall that had a crown of about 50-100cm from the terrain to the right of the main couloir. Pic included. The more north facing tree slopes at the base made for better skiing with no crusts to get back than the uptrack area.
