While riding on lower slopes east of commissary ridge we noticed shooting cracks on 15 to 20 degree slopes. We dug a pit and at the location chosen we didn't find the trouble layers we were expecting, but with the shooting cracks noticed it was enough for us to choose more conservative routes. While riding on lower slopes east of Commissary Ridge we noticed shooting cracks on 15 to 20 degree slopes. Which was enough for us to justify making more conservative riding choices.

Ridge to the west of smith fork road had a naturally triggered slide, nearly a quarter mile in length, and from the trail estimated 15" to 24+" tall crown.
