we found that the snow on our NE facing slope showed little reactivity lower in the pack and the layer of concern in my opinion is the recent storm slab which we did get to react on our PST. on our way out of the area we saw a D1 avalanche on a NW facing slope.

Snowpack

the snowpack on this specific slope seemed to show good signs of stability with little reactivity from layers lower in the snowpack. the recent storm slab did show some reactivity.

as we were leaving the upper brush creek drainage we passed a small D1 avalanche. Triggered by snowmobile, there were exposed rocks near the trigger area. crown was roughly 17”
