Layers to track: Basal facets above 8500' (primarily upper elevations) on open NW-N-NE aspects. 

No avalanche concerns below 9k while the snowpack lacks of slab. *quick observation while chasing elk 

Snowpack

8500' N aspect HS: 35cm

Moist snowpack to the ground although the top 10cm is changing with cold, dry temps. Facets are beginning to develop below the surface melt freeze crust.
Sporadic squalls throughout the day produced 1-2"  in upper elevations will cap Mfcr. 
Bottom 1/3 of the snowpack hard and frozen.
