AFter the storm it turned into a clear crisp day. Preserved all the good skiing up higher. The change in snow from moderately challenging to blower was at 1430m consistently in this drainage.
First thought best thought. Performed a ski cut on the slop lower down, where I had results a few days prior. The original plan was to ski next to the other tracks. A brief lapse of judgement and clearly fatigue from the four days of skiing resulted in a desire to enter the slope higher. The plan was to ski cut from there and turn out. Things went south and was not able to get off the slab. In hindsight, and looking at the slope from the bottom it was a poor choice that could’ve gone much worse than just injured pride. No injuries but full on humble pie.
