Quick Observation

We found 15 to as much as 25 cm of recent snow up at Frisby today, the new snow is sitting on a breakable crust everywhere except for upper elevation due north facing features. We had great visibility and did not see any recent avalanche activity, aside from a big glide release on a south facing feature over towards Copeland. The day was convective with periods of strong sun and cool snowy spells. We did not have any avalanche concerns at Frisby today, the alpine may be a different story where there may be a wind slab in steep high elevation terrain. All in all the snowpack feels pretty well setup and this recent snow is just icing on the cake!
