Checked out powder valley first but snow was obviously thin in the North facing runouts and very wind effected in the South facing aspect. Decided to check out further into the pass near Summit Creek. Skinned up to the right of the canyon and found an open draw through the trees heading up toward treeline on a low angle south facing slope. Stopped right above treeline as it was getting late in the day. Where the trees thinned there was noticeable wind effect but also pockets of powder. Once the slope got more enclosed and once we were in the open draw the snow quality was amazing. Wish we'd gone there first and did a few laps. Shoutout to all the homies telling me powder and tree skiing doesn't exist in White Pass! Guess you weren't looking hard enough!
