Thar Avalanche

While putting in our up-track through a treed area of Thar a hand shear at 1400m gave no results. Another hand shear test at 1650m resulted in RP with moderate pressure down 40cm on a crust layer. No other observations indicating instability were made during our accent. While riding down I placed a hard pressure stop on top of small convex roll to test stability. The convex did not react but it remote triggered the slope below. Be careful out there the next little while. It may take some time for this crust to bond to the recent storm snow of the past couple days.
