Vista Bowl

Test pit at 2250m on E asp revealed sudden sheers in compression tests in the top 30cm where facetting under wind crust layers was in progress. Most results were in moderate range, however, in all tests we had CTM (15-18) down 79-85 on facets over January 16th crust. Sudden Collapse with block sliding off column, failing on small facets. Ski conditions were goid to treeline on pressed powder surfaces. We did not see any avalanches today in this area, but there was signicant "testing" of convex rolls and steep chutes...
