Blackcomb Backcountry

Skied Body Bag Bowl, chuting gallery, and lower disease ridge. Bailed on anything beyond Body Bag due to deteriorating visibility. The SW facing slopes behind the east col had 10-15 cm of dry snow on top of an unbreakable crust. Great skiing in body bag bowl, did not feel a crust beneath dry new snow. Breakable crust beneath new snow in the chuting gallery. Variable snow on lower disease depending on wind loading (anywhere from deep powder to dust on crust). Some cornice debris was noted off lower disease. Weather varied from overcast to moderate snow and low clouds, and some rare sunshine. Very busy at the Blackcomb glacier skin track with many parties starting an Easter spearhead traverse.
