Quick Observation

You never know til you go (although I had a pretty good idea) Massive spatial variability on South aspects. Progressing from wind scoured (to ground) to 70cm unconsolidated within the space of 2 metres. Crust is present from 1180-Valley. Breakable. Makes for bad skiing, awful traversing. Skis punch easily through the crust but then stoically refuse to resurface. Traversing out on a route I know well, through well spaced trees I made the 2.5km in just under an hour. Fun adventure!
