Hanging Lake

Did a test profile at treeline in a slightly wind-loaded area on the SW slopes above Hanging Lake. Results are as follows: -Hand Hardness: 0 -10 cm : F 10-23: 4F+ 23-39: 4F- 39 - 70: 1F 70-90: 1F+ 90-111: P 111-115: 1F 115-137: P 137-164: I -Snowpack Tests: CTE 6 BRK down 10 cm on PPs CTM 16 PC down 40cms on PPs DTM 20 BRK on Nov. 29 FC/MFcr The snowpack was generally quite uniform throughout, with widespread storm slab making trail breaking and movement challenging. Above 1000m, ski quality is decent; below 1000m, the snow quality rapidly deteriorated as well as coverage.
