<p>Rode Narao peak today going up the fire road headed up at the 2km mark. Many tracks already there
We got to 2390 which required boot packing for approx 150 vertical meters because of wind rock exposure
Completed a extended column at 2150 west aspect convex
31 degree slope
110 cm snow depth at test site
Failure at 22 strikes at 85cm Q3 sheer
Expected earlier failure but column remained strong after strikes and was stable with prying
Rode the 31 degree slope post test riding one at a time while spotting. Skied well. Lower section has seen traffic.
No previous activity seen
Hard facet at 85cm noted approx 1 inch thick
Dug one other small pit around 2250 in wind crust snow top 30cm moved with relative ease </p>
