Marriott Basin

South Coast Inland

Conditions are all-time in Marriott Basin. We spent 4 days at Wendy Thompson and skied all over the basin including Honey Bronzed, tree laps to the hut and lake, and laps of Climax from the top of the ridge. All slopes are holding powder well, with no wind or slab and no real sun effect in recent days. Good stability everywhere, we only triggered two small (<0.5) slabs on east facing local steep slopes off cabin hill. The usual glide cracks on Climax are large but avoidable. The cornices above Honey Bronzed are large. Hoar frost is developing all over from recent calm and clear conditions.
