Rode Eagle Pass today. Mix of sun and cloud in the morning and then snow squalls through the afternoon made for poor visibility. Below 2000 m 10-20 cm of light new snow is sitting on a supportive crust. We saw numerous old avalanches from the weekend up to size 2.5. Most these were on steep north facing terrain around 2100 to 2200 m. We suspect they had run on the mid-February surface hoar layer as the fractures were60-80 cm deep.
