We found 18 inches of new low density snow that was behaving well due to mininal wind affect across all elevations. Plenty of snow available for transport to create slabs if winds increase. Two natural soft slab avalanches were observed on NE-E aspects at 9400' off ridgelines on steep slopes that likely occured yesterday during peak loading. Slight wind loading from SW wind could have attributed to these avalanche occurences. This new snow sits on a melt freeze cust that was bonding fairly decently, especially on southerly aspects where we witnessed solar influence creating a new melt freeze crust on the surface. Overall snowpack looked good with no propagation in our snowpits on buried weak layers. A thin snowpack was present before this storm, attributing to this happy snowpack.
