clear and cold winds increased in afternoon started to snow being transported on higher peaks (north Murphy)

Snowpack

110 cm deep 8030 elevation. thick ice crust/ layer down 45 cm. below that snow was very saturated. took snow depth on way down and found 80cm at 7700 elevation, then 50cm at 7000 elevation.
