Avalanche Information

The face appeared icy from the top, but upon skiing, it was noticed the slope past skiers left was wind-loaded and skiers right was unbreakable crust. While moving to skier's right onto the crust to avoid the slab, the skier triggered the wind slab, but was out from underneath the debris flow and continued skiing the icy portion of the slope away from the slide area. The crown propagated from underneath the skis. Approximately 1.5 hours prior to the slide, two split-boarders coming down that we met while skinning up said they put in a boot pack up the slide area and described the slope conditions as "really good" . The crown propagated to said boot-pack and slid on the same crust layer that covered the rest of the face. The slab appeared to continue onto the other side of the boot-pack but the crown didn't propagate past it.
