<p>Busy day on Hector this AM. Awesome glacier skiing, can almost make it back to the car. Breakable melt freeze crust below treeline in the AM which became isothermal sop in the afternoon. Fast uphill travel TL & above. Fresh pow on North aspects hadn't been kissed by wind yet making for some great turns. An impressive size 3 slab off Little Hector ran a few weeks prior, looked like a 2+m deep crown. Ski crampons recommended for icy uphill travel. </p>
