Helen Shoulder

Skied Helen Shoulder today. Seemed like 10-15cm overnight. The Parkway was surprisingly slow with only a handful of other parties all the way to Bow Summit. The winds on the ridge at the top of the burn were very strong. We had to take a knee to transition. Wind was predominately out of the north. At the car there was minimal wind and it was quite warm -1c when we left and returned. In hindsight we wish we had skied Crowfoot Glades. I had one whumph under my feet higher up closer to the ridge. The top 1/3 was wind affected with some scoured bits. The lower 1/3 of the burn skied well. Wind slabs were forming.
