COSAR field report

<p>Compression tests had consistant result CTH (24) showing breaks at ground in the shallow snow pack (100cm). Most relevant obs we noted was the large facetting crystals in the bottom 40cm. Early season crusts had good bonding and no hoar was found at this elevation. Overall still an upside right snow pack. The discussion was made that if we had planned to go skiing we would have chosen the treed slope on the right of the photo or far left and watched for wind affected terrain avoiding anything steep off ridge top. </p>
