Cobra Couloir

<p>Attempted Cobra Couloir yesterday (Sunday) Terrible conditions. This report is to prevent people from wasting their time thinking this might be a good objective. Unless this is your bag? Very fast travel on the skin track, apart from the hikers post holes all the way lake Annette. We also noticed lack of a good re-freeze at the lower elevations. Some areas had a 2cm thick crust, others none at all. Extreme wind effect on the fan and up to 2400m where my partner and myself pulled the pin. Also temps were quite warmer than forecasted within the bulletin. Knife hard very supportive windslab up to this point. WX observations. -2*c at the Moraine lake trailhead and -2*c at 2400m at 11am when we called it a day. Very Light winds, with mostly overcast cloudy conditions, occasional blue skies. Lots of signs of point releases and wet sides on solar aspects. Today I think I’ll sharpen my edges after that exhilarating session of survival skiing down this amazing line!</p>
