Sea to sky gondola area

alex.corbett, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

Toured from gondola to end of road and up gully to edge of bowl underneath Ledge. Snow quality up high was very good, about 10cm low density storm snow sitting on compacted older storm snow. No noticable crust while riding. Dug pit at about 1400m on N aspect, no clean sheer results from column test. Below treeline, no signs of avalanche activity. In alpine bowl, saw many crown lines, probably a few days old, from storm or wind loading. Point releases on solar aspects picked up in late afternoon when sun came out
