layers in snowpack

<p>I am posting this photo of a natural release because it clearly shows the layers in the snowpack so far this season. This is a steep (40° - 45°) NW aspect. The release appears to have been caused by large cornice failure. There was no new snow so the release would have been after the last storm cycle (Dec 3,4 or 5th). </p>
