We found a spring time powder surprise today with 7 cm new and 40cm over the March crust. We chose to ride on a north aspect at 2100m in the treeline. The winds were light to moderate from the SW and snow was on the move and building cornices. Our treed powder line was steep yet sheltered and provided excellent skiing while staying away from potential wind slab in the alpine.
