Two skiers from the party headed further up the ridge and decided to drop in where they were. Skiing one by one, on the second pitch the lead skier triggered a windslab they were in the middle of, on a west facing, moderately steep (roughly 33 degrees), but planar slope. Slab depth was maybe 20cm and skier was knocked off their feet and went for a ride. Fortunately there were no terrain traps below and the avalanche passed them leaving them sat on the base. Skier was a bit shaken, but no injuries and no lost gear.
