Too deep for us

Went for a snow check to a bowl up the Windfall road, knowing that it was probably too deep for skiing. We were right. Trail breaking was super deep and any slopes steep enough to ride would have been too sketchy. 85 cm storm snow, sitting on a light crust. Basal facets are starting to develop. 125 cm total snow depth. Strong inversion, -3 at 1500 m, snowing and windy, -20 in the valley.
