Our group wanted to tour at the summit creek glacier. Upon arriving close to the decision point at the toe of the ascent the weather refused to clear. About 1-2cm of fresh snow fell that bonded well with the top layer In fact, every peak on the Western side of the HW and south of Fraser were in the clouds all day. Temps by HW at 330pm was 3 degrees. We skied some mellow open terrain on a south facing slope. With the sun warming up the slope, about an inche of the snow pack turned to corn. The crust below was well supportive. As soon as clouds rolled back, the corn was starting to become crusty again. We heard a few whumphs at tree line, most of them in areas where a deeper snow pack met a shallow one. Overall a good day to be out. Turns were fun and we did not see anyone else up there
