Not Sunny Shames

Wasn’t terrible at Shames today. Triple layer cake of temps from Hwy to Top T bar. Below freezing hwy, above 0 at Lodge (700 m’s) and drippy rain, back to zero or slightly below above 900 m’s (top of chair) and snowing lightly most of the day. Light to maybe mod winds from the southish. No whumphs or cracks but did sound a bit hollow in skinning in fresh snow with slightly more firm snow overlying softer stuff. No seen nat’s but vis was poor. No rumbles heard in the valleys. Tree line mini slope westish facing above t bar at about 1100 m’s. CT easy, drop, down 35 cm’s. CT moderate, drop down 45 cm’s, CT hard, drop down 65 cm’s (that one wasn’t the cleanest fracture). Firming up with depth except between 45 to 65 ish cm’s. That layer was softer before firming up again as depth increased. Only cut down to 100 ish cm’s. Felt like 315 cm’s of snow depth till i felt I was poking in the moss at this spot. Seemed shallow? No slabs cut From Prayer Flags or in Phayzers.
