A sunny Sunday allowed for exploring up Summit Creek today. Moderate north winds made for a cold start to the day but we found really good snow quality on south facing slopes above 1300 m. The new snow that fell in recent days (5-10 cm) was well bonded to underlying surfaces, with little wind effect. With no signs of recent avalanche activity, or signs of instability in the snow pack, we were able to ski a high, south facing line in great conditions. Winds were still blowing from the north on the ski out at end of the day.
