Slab Avalanche

Hard slab release while skinning through cross loaded feature. As the avalanche went over some rocks it entrained more snow causing two debris piles one 25m lower than the other. The slope would have been getting sun for approximately 30 minutes. NW aspect 1900m

Skier was crossing wind loaded slope and triggered a wind slab around 20m above. The skier was able to run to a rocky out crop to avoid being taken for a ride. No injuries were sustained.
