We did a ski camp in the Monashees from Saturday to Sunday. On the way up, southern/ south-western slopes were showing some wet point releases and were a bit wet; temps were at -4C. Sun crust down about 40cm. We spent the night on the ridge at 2100m with light winds and clear skies at around -10 to -15C going to whiteout and moderate winds -8C in the morning. Wet surfaces had dried out over night on high elevation southern aspects. Pit dug on south-eastern wind load showed no results. Snow depth at 170cm. Surface hoar was growing and we had rime on the skis and poles in the morning. We skied out a steep east facing gully with no issues. No avalanches witnessed.
