The snow seemed relatively safe. Traveled a great distance over the day and never saw any signs of instability. No avalanches seen, no cracking, no collapsing. Lots of wind loading. In open areas. Snow was remarkably stable. No signs of instability, no avalanches seen, no cracking, no collapsing.

Snowpack

Snow pit dug at around 9400 feet. NW aspect. Total snow depth of 70 inches. ECTX, the trouble layer at about 23 or 24 inches is nearly gone. The rest of the snowpack has formed a pretty consistent slab. 21” of new snow in this last storm cycle.
