<p>Mixed bag of conditions near cirque today. Mashed potatoes on solar aspects below 1900m by 1PM. Breakable melt-freeze/solar on East aspects to 2300m. Good skiing found where wind has deposited enough to cover the crust. Pit dug at the base of sugar cube: CT7 uneven break down 20 on fresh soft windslab. CT13M resistant planar down 50 on a facet interface. No propagation of either on ECT & stubborn to shovel shear from behind. O.k. conditions in the couloir, melt freeze debris. In the choke. Good skiing in the bowl above. Large avalance off Crowfoot - cornice failure only. Size 2- 2.5. </p>
