Today we rode Eagles Pass. The riding conditions were amazing. We broke trail in and out. It was snowing hard all day with strong winds coming from the south. Our group rode in the trees on supported slopes. We avoided all open alpine terrain and overhead hazards. Around 13:00hrs we began noticing several rider/ remote triggered storm slab avalanches aproximately 20-30cm deep (see image). They were observed on all aspects at all elevations at and below tree line. Some showed large propagation. The slabs appeared to be sliding on a thin ice crust layer that was also observed on all aspects. We did not see any cases of it stepping down deeper. All in all, great riding conditions! Just have to choose the right terrain
