Sunshine and Sparkly Snow

Core Lodge day of sledding was sunshine, smiles and no surprises. We found some decent riding and skiing on soft supportive snow at tree line and below. Tree Line and Alpine had obvious signs of wind effect but today the winds were light and the surface hoar was growing right up to ridge crest. The weak layer buried in December was still easily visible when we dug down and producing sudden results across the entire test column.
