Small crowns were spotted on a northerly aspect around 6,800 feet. These appeared to be products of storm slab avalanches during the last major storm cycle. Other than that, no instabilities were observed.

Broken skies through the day. Temperatures held below freezing. Winds remained light out of the north.
Snowpack
A pit was dug on a northwest aspect at 7,900 feet (above Little Crater Lake). This pit showed a total snow depth of 127 inches, excellent coverage. Eight to ten inches of soft snow sat on top of a thick, and strong wind slab, with soft old snow below. Though slightly upside down, the snowpack appears to be quite strong and supportable. Stability test yielded no significant results.
