Upon launching from the parking lot, skies were mostly obscured, and the temperature was well below 32 F. Wind speeds were light and unnoticeable.
Snowpack
With the recent storm putting 10 inches on the ground at 7,000 feet, the snow covered Everitt Memorial Highway above Bunny Flat was too enticing to ignore. I was pleasantly surprised to find 40 cm of dry, medium-density snow, offering some friendly, low-angle turns. Off the road, conditions are VERY thin and rocky. I chose to not venture off of the pavement and avoid possible injury.
