Highlights
The general avalanche hazard remains CONSIDERABLE. Strong winds and some new snow has added an additional load to existing surface slabs which are up to two feet in depth. In addition DANGEROUS deep slab instabilities persist. These surface slabs lie upon buried weak layers of faceted snow and if triggered could step down to weak early season layers or the ground. Yesterday avalanche debris with trees in it was reported on the Smiths Fork Road between Poker Flats and Crystal Lake. Large dangerous avalanches could be human triggered today.
