Little freeze tonight, and some areas may see freezing levels to 3000m Tues. Hazard will increase quicker than usual while these conditions exist. Wait until we are back in a regular spring pattern before going into the big terrain. SH

    Cornices are starting to fall off ridges providing a large trigger for slopes below. Some of these giants have enough weight to initiate large avalanches that could step down to deeper weak layers and run full path.

    Many loose, wet avalanches today on all aspects to size 3 below 3000m. starting in the afternoon. Tuesday should have less solar input, but with little freeze it wont take much to increase the hazard.
