Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Surface crusts will soften early today as overnight temperatures barely fell below freezing. Once these crusts soften it will be possible for skiers or snowmobilers to trigger wet loose and slab avalanches in steep avalanche prone terrain at all elevations. Large DANGEROUS natural events have been observed over the last several days. Some of these slides have run full path. In steep areas with a shallow snowpack wet loose or wet slab avalanches may release down to the ground.
