Weather Forecast
On Saturday a low pressure system will track across the southern half of the province, bringing 5 cm of new snow in the southern end of the Cariboos and minimal new snow to the north. Treeline temperatures will be between -5 and -10 over the weekend with light southwesterly winds on Saturday, shifting to moderate northwesterly winds on Sunday. Light flurries are forecasted for Monday.

Snowpack Summary
We have insufficient data to create a reliable snowpack structure for this region. Recent storms delivered 30 cm of new snow to the southern parts of the Cariboos and 15 cm to the northern parts. Snowpack depths in the south appear to be comparable to the North Columbias, with alpine depths between 150-200 cm and treeline depths between 80-140cm. Snow depths are likely smaller in the north. A widespread mid-November crust likely exists 40-80 cm below the surface, but the bonding of the snow to this crust is uncertain. Also, the presence of other deeper weak layers is uncertain. Carefully assess local snow conditions when traveling in this region.
