Highlights
The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE today. Very strong winds at ridgetops have moved available snow onto lee slopes creating potential slides to three feet in depth. At mid and lower elevations settlement has increased the strength and stability of the snowpack, however backcountry users could trigger slides on steep, wind loaded slopes, particularly near cliffs and rocky areas where shallower snow and cold temperatures promote a decrease in snowpack strength.
