Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDRABLE. DANGEROUS unstable slabs lie upon a deep weak layer of faceted snow. Numerous slab avalanches up to eight feet in depth have been triggered on a variety of aspects. North through east aspects have been very active with many slides being triggered on approach. Strong winds during the past 24 hours have added new loads to avalanche starting zones. Riders and skiers may trigger these slabs today and not necessarily by the first cut or rider.
